ANSWER - When activated - Priority heating is when the In-Line+ pool heater detects that the swimming pool's temperature has dropped below the required temperature, so switches the pool's circulation pump on (via the pump control cable) so that the heater can switch on and heat the pool to the required temperature. Once the required temperature has been reached the heater will switch itself off and then shortly afterwards also turn off the circulation pump (via the pump control cable).

• Q - How do I decide which heater I need?A - The kW output of a heater should be matched to the volume and surface area of the pool, see suggested sizing chart
• Q - How long will the heating elements last?A - The heating elements in all Elecro heaters are of superior construction, offering excellent chemical attack and erosion resistance. Their life expectancy should be many years, provided the Elecro installation instructions are adhered to and water chemistry / balance is maintained within the guide limits.
• Q - How long does it take to bring a pool up to temperature?A - Assuming no heat losses, and a heater sized in the ratio 1.5-kW per 1000-gallons of water: it will take 2 days of continuous running to raise the temperature of a pool from tap temperature to swimming temperature. Heat loss will slow the process particularly during periods of cold weather, i.e. the higher the temperature is to be maintained above average ambient air temperature the slower the heating process will become. The main influencing factor being the level of heat retaining insulation incorporated in the pool shell.
• Q - Can I plug my heater in via a standard 3-pin plug?A - Heater sizes 2-kW and 3-kW can be plugged in via a standard 3-pin domestic plug. Heater sizes 4.5-kW and above require wiring to the property's main consumer unit - the same way a shower or cooker is normally wired. To check the power consumption of your heater please see the specification label / plaque on the heater.
