Sunspot Wintershield (Organo Copper Citrate Complex). This copper based loglife algaecide will prevent the multiplication of most types of algae for up to 6 months during the winter.
Application Instructions:
- 1. For best results it is recommended that this product is not used until the pool water temperature drops to 10C or lower.
- 2. Ensure pool water is clear and free from algae and debris before applying Sunspot Wintershield.
- 3. Adjust pH level within the range 7.5 - 7.8.
- 4. Shock dose the pool using Sunspot Granular Shock to achieve a chlorine level of between 5 and 10mg/l (ppm).
- 5. Add this product directly to the pool near the returning water inlets with the filtration system running - for dose rates see table below.
- 6. Where possible allow the filtration system to run for at least 8 hours after application to ensure that the product is well distributed throughout the pool.
- 7. Periodically during the winter it is advisable to check the disinfectant level and if it is low shock dose to increase it. This is particularly recommended in early spring as the air and water temperatures begin to rise.
